Day 1-3: Immerse Yourself in Tokyo's Dynamic Tapestry
Your journey begins in the bustling metropolis of Tokyo. Touch down at Narita International Airport and take the Narita Express (N'EX) to Tokyo Station, your gateway to the city.
Accommodation: Check into your centrally located Tokyo hotel and prepare for the adventure ahead. We recommend Hotel CoCoDe Plus in Ueno - this is a great location with great street food and typical japanese nightlife.

Day 2: Character Street & Harajuku Street
Awaken your taste buds on Tokyo Station's character street, a crazy and colourful street found under Tokyo Station with every character you could dream of.
Later, stroll down Harajuku Street, where trendsetting boutiques and delectable street food create a vibrant atmosphere. Don't forget to explore Takeshita Street for quirky fashion.
Day 3: Shibuya & Nightlife Extravaganza
Feel the pulse of Tokyo at Shibuya Crossing, one of the world's busiest intersections. Explore the dynamic neighbourhood, known for its shopping, dining, and entertainment.
As the sun sets, dive into Tokyo's thriving nightlife scene. Sing your heart out at karaoke bars, mingle with locals, and enjoy late night snacks served at the Izakaya’s.
Bullet Train to Osaka: Effortless Speed and Comfort
Board the iconic Shinkansen bullet train at Tokyo Station and let its smooth and swift journey transport you to Osaka's vibrant heart. The journey only lasts 3 hours!
Accommodation: Settle into your Osaka hotel, conveniently located for your explorations. We recommend Mitsui Fudosan Residential for a centrally located hotel in Osaka.

Days 4-5: Unveil Osaka's Gastronomic and Cultural Riches
Day 4: Tsutenkaku Tower & Shinsekai Area
Soak in panoramic views from Tsutenkaku Tower, an iconic symbol of Osaka. Immerse yourself in the retro charm of the Shinsekai area, a neighbourhood renowned for its vintage shops and delightful street food.
Day 5: Osaka Castle & Dotonbori
Experience history at Osaka Castle, a majestic fortress surrounded by picturesque gardens. Ascend Umeda Sky Tower for an unparalleled view of the city.
As the sun sets, stroll along Dotonbori's neon-lit streets. Capture a selfie with the Glico Man sign and savour Osaka's delectable street food scene.
Day 6: Embrace Kyoto's Timeless Beauty
Travel: Take the Shinkansen to Kyoto (it is only 15 minutes)
Accommodation: Kyoto can be really expensive and very busy so we recommend staying in Osaka.

Sights & Activities:
Explore the ethereal Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and its transcendent beauty. Discover an old samurai film actor's house and enjoy complimentary tea, an experience bridging the past and present (Okochi Sanso Gardens). The city is filled with ancient temples, we recommend going early to miss the crowds and our favourites include Kinkaku-ji (the Golden Pavillion), To-ji Temple, Higashiyama Jisho-ji (the silver temple) and for something a little quieter and of the beaten track - Otagi Nembutsuji Temple (although make sure to bring comfy).
Day 7: Nara's Enchanting Wildlife and Heritage
Travel: Travel to Nara, a short train ride from Osaka (30 minutes).
Accommodation: We recommend staying in Osaka if you are in Japan for a limited amount of time as Nara is very small and only 30 minutes away from Osaka.

Sights & Activities:
Interact with the friendly deer of Nara Park and witness the age-old mochi-pounding ritual. Stand in awe before the The Zutō otherwise known as the Nara Pyramid an earthern pagoda and marvel at the grandeur of the Todai-ji Temple with the Great Budha statue.
Days 8-9: Indulge in Kawaguchiko's Natural Beauty
Travel: Journey to Kawaguchiko, a serene retreat nestled at the base of Mount Fuji.
Accommodation: Check into a lakeside ryokan with natural onsen, where relaxation takes centre stage. We recommend Hostel Michikusa-Ya for on a budget travellers. This hotel as Fuji view rooms in a traditional Japanese Ryokan setting. The owner is a lovely man who will shuttle you and your bags to the station at no extra cost!

Sights & Activities:
Marvel at the beauty of Mount Fuji and unwind in natural onsen hot springs (Fujiyama Onsen). Relish the tranquility of Lake Kawaguchi and let nature's serenity rejuvenate you. Hire bikes to cycle around the Fuji Great Lakes and find tranquil picnic spots.
Day 10: Bid Farewell with Sushi Delights
Travel: Return to Tokyo for your departure.

Before bidding adieu, savour the epitome of Japanese culinary mastery: Sushi at Rokubei Sushi.
Top tips:
Get PASMO for getting around the city
Do not take taxi’s they are very expensive, instead if you plan on staying out you will have to take the last train home or wait for the service to restart which is around 5am. if you find yourself stuck, check into one of the famous pod hotels (9h nine hours is a good chain).
Use Tabalog to find local eateries, anything over 3.5 stars is the equivelent of european 4.5 stars standard - which is touch to achieve in Japan!
Consider getting an e-sim prior to travel for cheaper rates, you will need data to get around the city and to help you translate!
